In collaboration with all Faculties, the department is responsible for the acquisitions of library materials in all formats, the creation and maintenance of the library’s computerised databases containing order records, bibliographic records and authority records in such a manner as to enable the smooth running of the library:
- Order, receive, accession, catalogue and classify library materials in all formats to be accessible in our library catalogue
- Evaluate, improve and develop the collection according to different Faculties’ requirements
- Organise and analyse library collections in order to help researchers, academics and students identify and select suitable material for research, teaching and innovativeness
- Support the library’s use of technology in order to provide effective services for users and staff in consultation with the Information Technology (IT) department
